Magic, remember, as children how mesmerized we were when those words, abracadabra and hocus-pocus were spoken? There was this magician onstae or an uncle, aunt etc. who performed these magic tricks.
A lot of people use magic to their advantage. For some people it is a source of income, for others it is a means to be the center of attention, being able to entertain at any party or gathering.
When learning magic tricks the most important ingredients you need is patience and persistence and then you have Practice, Practice, Practice. But knowing how to perform magic tricks is not all there is, you need to be an actor as well and if you aren't you have to become one. It's important to be able to mislead your audience through body language and facial expression as that would create some sort of mystery in the performance.
Magician beginners usually learn magic trick involving cards and coins. To be able to do coin tricks successully, a bit of dexterity of the hands is necessary because if the movement is to slow or to obvious the secret is blown.
Some budding magicians might only take a few hours to learn a certain trick, others might need days. Any magic trick should create an illusion of reality. But no matter how long it takes, it is of most importance to perform whatever trick it is, correctly.
One of the most important tools a magician can have is a mirror, because he can see the illusion he creates. The practice in front of the mirror let the budding magician know when he has perfected a trick. But before you get out there performing, do it in front of a family member or a good friend, and when they ask you, how you've done it, you know you have done well.
I have been practicing for a little while and had some great success at a family gathering and a small party and it is all because I found this great magic tricks collection. It really inspired me to learn and practice.
